Know These Home Remedies for Dandruff | Dandruff Treatment at Home

In the winter, dealing with dandruff is no easy feat. Among the variety of skin disorders that worsen throughout the winter, dandruff is surely one. It usually results in an itchy scalp and the appearance of microscopic white skin flakes on clothing.

The winter air may cause your scalp to become dry and flaky.  

Seborrheic dermatitis, often known as seborrhoea, is a common cause of dandruff.

Although a range of products, including anti-dandruff shampoos, claims to eliminate dandruff, we all know that they are not always effective.

Since home remedies for dandruff have so few adverse effects, it is no surprise that so many individuals are going for them.

Here are Some Effective Ayurveda Home Remedies for Dandruff

  • Soak 1 tablespoon of methi (fenugreek) seed powder and 1 tablespoon of Triphala churna overnight in 1 bowl of curd. The next morning, apply it as a mask for one hour and then rinse with a gentle shampoo. Do it once or twice per week

  • Heat the coconut oil in a bowl for two minutes. Then, add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and completely combine. Apply to hair overnight or two hours before shampooing. Do it once per week.

  • Mix 5 grammes of tankan bhasma (Calcined Borax or Suhaga) with 1 teaspoon of coconut oil and one teaspoon of lemon juice. Apply it overnight and wash your hair with herbal shampoo in the morning. Do it two times per week

  • Combine 1 cup of aloe vera gel and 2 tablespoons of castor oil. Use this on the scalp. Allow it to sit overnight and then wash it off the following day. Do it once per week.

  • Soak a cup of fenugreek seeds overnight in water. Add 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel to the paste. Apply this paste to your scalp after mixing completely. Allow it to run for 1 hour. Follow rinsing with water with a gentle shampoo. Do it two times per week.

  • Take 2 glasses of buttermilk and mix 1 tbsp of Triphala churna in it and keep it overnight. The following morning, wash your hair with this medicated buttermilk before applying a gentle shampoo. Do it two times per week.

  • Wash your hair with water that contains boiled neem leaves.
