Recently NDA has nominated Draupadi Murmu as the candidate for India’s top constitutional post.  Let us try to know more about her.

Hailing from the Santal ethnic group, Draupadi  Murmu is a seasoned tribal chief. In addition to being present in Assam, Tripura, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and West Bengal, the Santals are the largest tribe in Jharkhand.

Draupadi Murmu started her political career in 1997 as a councillor and vice-chairperson of the Rairangpur local body. She was born on June 20, 1958, in the village of Baidaposi in the Mayurbhanj district. She was chosen to serve as the ST morcha’s vice president for Odisha in the same year.

When the BJP and Biju Janata Dal formed a coalition government in 2000, Draupadi Murmu was elected as the MLA for Rairangpur. From 2000 to 2004, she served as the minister of state (independent charge) for Odisha’s department of transportation and trade. She also took over the state’s departments of animal husbandry from 2002 to 2004 and of fisheries in 2002.

The roles Draupadi Murmu held with the saffron party reflect her extensive political and administrative experience. Draupadi Murmu was on the national executive of the BJP’s ST morcha from 2002 until 2009. She was elected as the Rairangpur MLA once more in 2004. From 2006 to 2009, she served as the state head of the BJP’s ST morcha.

Draupadi Murmu was the first woman to assume the role of governor of Jharkhand when she was appointed in 2015. She also made history by being the first indigenous woman to lead her native state of Odisha.

Given that the odds are in the NDA’s favour, she could very well be on her way to achieving another first if she is elected president.

What Astrologer Ved Prakash Sharma has to predict about her candidature?

Draupadi Murmu is an excellent candidate for India’s top constitutional post.

We predict that she will certainly be the Next President of India.

On a broader level, as far as her tenure will be concerned, it will be marked by ups and downs, in-fact she will be entangled into a major controversy in her mid-tenure, which will eventually fade away as her tenure will come to an end.

Please note :- As more details about her birth location and time will be share in public domain, we would be in a better position to predict more accurately about her.
