Hoda Kotb Daughter Illness Update: Who is Hope Catherine Kotb?
One year after spending almost a week in the hospital, Hoda Kotb provided an update on the health of her youngest daughter Hope.
“Things have stabilized,” Hoda stated in a March 6 People interview, adding that her family is concentrating on Hope’s long-term health management.
“We went through a terrifying period,” Hoda explained to People. “Every parent who has ever dealt with a terrifying situation involving their child may relate.
It’s hard to realize your child is unwell. The fact that you are helpless is unbelievable. “No matter what you do, you can’t will it away or protect her or do any of the other things that we’re supposed to do as parents,” she added, her voice filled with frustration. “And it’s a position I’ve never found myself in.”
Hoda, who is the mother of Hope and Haley, took two weeks off from TODAY in February 2023 due to Hope’s health issue; she spent over a week in the hospital, including time in the intensive care unit.
Hoda, 59, told People that she is trying to “make everything normal” for her kids and that she is hesitant to reveal Hope’s medical details because of her early age.
