Lord Vishnu bestowed a divine fruit upon the king, pleased by his unfaltering devotion. It was said that if the king gave the fruit to his queen, she would have a son of great rank.
Following the supernatural prediction, Queen Shaibya ate the fruit and bore a son who would go on to become King Suketuman’s successor—a virtuous and competent young man.
